Teens in Santa Clarita have a new place to get information about news and events in their City with the City of Santa Clarita’s new website, TeenSCV.com.
The youth-oriented site serves as a portal for local teens to stay up-to-date on activities and events in Santa Clarita, including volunteer and employment opportunities, transit information, leadership committees and other teen-run clubs and groups.
The website includes an interactive “Teen Shout Out” platform to showcase the many great things teens are doing in the City of Santa Clarita.
Teens can also follow @TeenSCV on Twitter to share pics, stories, news and events.
TeenSCV will host a #WinWednesday Twitter contest to celebrate the new site launch with weekly giveaways for teens. A new contest tweet will be released every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., and will ask teens to answer trivia questions for the chance to win prizes. The contest will be today through Wednesday, December 17. Winners will be announced weekly.

The Wait is Over! ‘Senses’ Returns Tomorrow with Roaring Twenties Themed Block Party Beginning at 7 p.m.March 19, 2014
Senses will feature the always popular entertainment of Vaud and the Villains, a 19 piece New Orleans Orchestra and Cabaret Show, as well as Retro Format with 1920′s black and white movies, and a few classic Ford Model T cars.
Every season, the City of Santa Clarita invites community photographers to take part in the City’s quarterly photo contest. The photo contest is an opportunity for residents to showcase community life in the City of Santa Clarita.
The winning photographs will be posted online at Santa-Clarita.com, on the City’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and in city publications, such as the City’s award winning Seasons Magazine. Winning photographers will receive photo credit as well as a one time cash prize.
Residents interested in taking part in the Winter 2014 Quarterly Photo contest must join the Santa Clarita Photo contest group and register for free at Flickr.com. All photos are to be submitted to the Santa Clarita Photo Contest Flickr Group.
Last Thursday night, the final Senses event of the year hosted a Chills and Thrills Halloween themed block party on Main Street in Old Town Newhall. Senses will return in March 2014.
Residents enjoyed live music, food trucks, themed drinks and fun activities on Main Street.

SENSES will host a Down the Rabbit Hole themed block party happening on tomorrow, from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. on Main Street in Old Town Newhall.
Strange Days Doors Tribute Band will be playing at SENSES on Main Street tonight. They capture the magic, the mystery, and the madness of the Doors.
