4th of July Fireworks Press Conference

On Wednesday, June 28th, the City of Santa Clarita partnered with the Los Angeles County Fire Department to hold a press conference at Fire Station #126 to inform the residents about the dangers of fireworks. A demonstration of fireworks followed the press conference. A M100 was placed inside a watermelon and soon ignited while the fruit exploded across the fire station grounds reaching as far as thirty feet.

Captain Keith Mora of the Los Angeles Country Fire Department says due to the lack of precipitation, fire can spread even faster-consuming acres of land.
