10 by 10, Thursdays@Newhall’s variety night, will feature an entertaining lineup beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the Repertory East Playhouse, located at 24266 Main Street.
Ten artists will take the stage to perform a ten minute set. Sets include short live theater pieces, dance, monologues, improv, comedy, music and more. The evening will begin with popular one-man country blues band, The New Mexican. The band consists of a right foot on drums, a left foot on percussion, a left hand on slide guitar and banjo, a right hand on lead guitar and banjo, and a mouth on vocals and harmonica.
Brandon Burkhart will continue the fun with comedic storytelling. Continuing with the storytelling theme, Vicki Juditz will utilize her ten minute slot to tell a story. Musician Tom Renaud, who has been playing the guitar for over 40 years, will perform some of his original music. Taking the stage after Renaud will be magician Brian Hoffman, a Santa Clarita based magician and member of the Magic Castle.
Following the magic act will be a mockumentary that has been featured on VICE, NBC, Marie Claire and other media outlets.
Continuing with the entertainment, comedian, Raabtune Russell, will entertain the crowd with comedy surrounding his personal life, social issues and other random subjects.
Musician Darrin Yarbrough, a member of the Shure Thing Band, will perform a set with his electric guitar, acoustic guitar and slide-dobro guitar.
The next performer to take the stage will be storyteller Dave Child to amuse attendees with his comedic storytelling. The laughs continue when comedian Lang Parker takes the stage. Lang gained national attention when she was on NBC’s Emmy-nominated Last Comic Standing.
