Each school also had students, DFYIT and non-DFYIT members, to sign a pledge not to drink or do drugs.

On the last week of January, Junior High and High Schools all across Santa Clarita participated in the City’s Drug Free Youth in Town (DFYIT) X-Week event.

X-Week offers an opportunity for DFYIT clubs to make their presence on campus known and to remind their peers about the dangers of drug use in an informative but fun way.

DFYIT clubs planned all day activities such as “Don’t Get Tied to Drugs” three legged races, “Dump the Cup” relays, “Don’t Be a Chicken, Just Say No” rubber chicken tosses, “Get Glazed Not Blazed” donut giveaways, dance presentations, spirit days, motivational guest speakers and more!
