Local residents are encouraged to provide input on the City of Santa Clarita’s annual Community Needs Assessment Survey, which will help determine how Community Development Block Grant funding will be allocated throughout the community. The survey is available online now through Monday, December 15.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development provides the City of Santa Clarita with funding to benefit lower-income residents through the Community Development Block Grant program. The City’s Community Needs Assessment Survey allows residents to weigh in on how funding should be distributed in the areas of housing, supportive services, community facilities, economic development opportunities and infrastructure.
Survey results will also help the City meet guidelines established in the Consolidated Plan, which sets priorities for how Community Development Block Grant funds may be used.
