More than 120 residents attended “What You Don’t Know: Teens, Drugs and the Consequences” on Wednesday, April 16, with Detective Bill Velek, and over 100 community members attended the “Teens Cell Phones, Sexting and Social Media” session with Deputy Josh Dublin on Wednesday, April 23. Each workshop reviewed the various risks associated with drugs and social media, and parents were educated on ways to avoid these dangers in order to keep their kids safe.
The sessions drew local interest with “Teens Cell Phones, Sexting and Social Media” being covered on KTLA, Channel 5 and Telemundo. Both workshops along with other informative videos relating to drug use can also be viewed at YouTube.com/HeroinKillsSCV.
