Night time road work on Newhall Ranch Road to lead to quieter softer ride for commuters.

The final rubberized asphalt cap is expected to be completed early next week on Newhall Ranch Road, between Bouquet Canyon and Avenue Tibbets. The project, which will result in a smoother and quieter ride for motorists, will conclude the 2010-2011 Federal Overlay Program.

The roadwork will take place each week night, weather willing, and is expected to be completed Tuesday, November 8, in the early morning hours. Work will take place from 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. in the evening and involve lane closures and traffic delays along Newhall Ranch Road during that time.

Once the final rubberized cap is completed minor work, such as re-striping, will continue for a short period.
