The pictures in this post were taken Thursday, January 6, at the City of Santa Clarita’s Transit Maintenance Facility.
The Transit Maintenance Facility officially broke ground to install three new solar canopies in late October. With these canopies being installed, the city will save approximately $135,000 a year in electricity bills. Click here to see the ground breaking.
The project is a result of a $4.62 million award the City of Santa Clarita received through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s Transit Investment in Greenhouse Gas and Energy Reduction Program.
