The City Council will hold it's re-organization meeting, including the change of Mayor on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at City Hall
The Santa Clarita City Council will hold a Re-Oganization Special Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday December 8, beginning at 5 p.m. at City Hall. The meeting will air locally on Time Warner Channel 20, AT&T Uverse Channel 99 (menu option Santa Clarita) and SCVTV.com as well as the Santa-Clarita.com.
During the re-organization meeting, outgoing Mayor Frank Ferry will make remarks and presentations will be made. The City Clerk will then open nominations for the 2010 Mayor. Once a nomination is recieved and seconded, the five members of the City Council select the new Mayor by majority vote. The new Mayor will be sworn in, open nominations for a new Mayor Pro Tem and give an acceptance speech, outlining the goals for the new year.
The regular meeting, and last meeting of 2009, will follow the special meeting at 6 p.m.
