Nearly 600 Guests Attend City’s Teen Driving Safety Fair

Hundreds of local teens headed out to Central Park for the 2009 Teen Driving Safety Fair.

Hundreds of local teens learned about safe driving practices at the the City's first-ever Teen Driving Safety Fair.

The City of Santa Clarita, in partnership with the Auto Club of Southern California, debuted its first Teen Driving Safety Fair to a huge turnout this year. Approximately 600 guests headed out to Central Park to participate in the important community event, with nearly 350 local teens attending education sessions, custom CarFit lessons and and  Under the Hood demonstrations.

The City and the Auto Club held the Teen Driving Safety Fair in recognition of National Teen Driver Safety Week.  The event featured important safety information geared toward young teen drivers, who are involved in more automobile accidents than any other age group.

The Fair featured custom car fits detailing proper safety adjustments, interactive driving activities, under-the-hood maintenance demonstrations, games and more to show teens the most fundamental ways to keep themselves and others safe on the road.
