The City of Santa Clarita began the first of 12 large concrete pours for the Golden Valley Road Bridge, the final link in the Cross Valley Connector last Friday. 700 cubic yards of concrete was poured for the first of four sections on the left, northbound side of the Golden Valley Road Bridge.

The next step involves repeating the same pour process on the first of four sections on the right, southbound side of the Bridge. This process will continue until the pour is completed on all eight sections of the bridge.

The bridge is the final section of the 8 ½ mile roadway that provides an east/west corridor through Santa Clarita  connecting the I-5 and Highway 126 with the 14 Freeway.
