5,206 Pairs of Socks Donated by ‘Drug Free Youth in Town’

Throughout all the High Schools and Jr. High Schools, the Drug Free in Youth in Town (DFYIT) program collected and donated 5,206 pairs of socks for the ‘Socktober’ movement.

DFYIT members collected the socks in honor of Socktober, a nationwide movement initiated through social media to benefit the homeless.

Because of the success of this year’s collection, staff made the decision to donate the socks to Bridge to Home, Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, and the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley.
