The City of Santa Clarita’s Thursdays@Newhal series, presented by Galpin Subaru, will, for the first time ever, offer winter events from November 2015 to February 2016 in Old Town Newhall. As the weather cools down, Thursdays invites residents to move inside for two new performance events.
On the first Thursday of every month, beginning November 5, Thursdays will host 10 by 10, a variety night where ten selected artists will take the stage and perform within a ten minute time limit. Performances will include free form dance, monologues, improv sketches and more, at the Repertory East Playhouse, located at 24266 Main Street.
On the second Thursday of each month, beginning November 12 through February 11, a singer and songwriter night, Note by Note, will take place inside Newhall Refinery. Note by Note will be an evening of original songs, penned by both professional and aspiring songwriters. Newhall Refinery is located at 24258 Main Street.
On November 19, SCVTV Presents The OutWest Concert Series with Adrian Buckaroogirl, a young Folk, Country, Rock and Western singer, beginning at 8 p.m. at the Repertory East Playhouse. Tickets can be purchased here.
The ARTree Speaker Series, presented in partnership with the CalArts Community Arts Partnership and the City of Santa Clarita, will continue with free lectures on January 28 and February 25.
