The City of Santa Clarita, in collaboration with The Energy Network, continues its efforts in the Santa Clarita 100 Greener Homes Project, a program designed to help property owners make energy efficient home upgrades.

The program encourages participation in the Energy Upgrade California® Home Upgrade program, a statewide rebate and incentive program supported by utility customers. Home Upgrade rebates are available for energy efficient projects including windows, insulation, high-efficiency water heaters, and green heating and cooling improvements, which offer increased comfort, efficiency, savings and property values for homeowners who take advantage of the program.

The Energy Network connects interested residents with a local participating contractor who then helps choose the right options and checks homeowners’ eligibility for rebates and incentives. Special financing options are also available.

Benefits of the upgrades include improved indoor air quality, increased resale value of the home, enhanced comfort and less expensive energy costs. Residents in Santa Clarita with homes built prior to 1995 are especially urged to look into this valuable program in order to increase their home’s comfort and sustainability.
