The City of Santa Clarita’s Camp Clarita is currently accepting registration for the 2015 summer program. Online, mail-in and walk-in registration are being accepted for programs from June 15 through August 7.
Wee Folks and Little Folks camps are half-day programs for kids 3-5, featuring a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, games, storytelling, music, dance and water play. All campers must be potty trained to participate.
Junior Adventures Camp is an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, camp for kids 3-5 in Newhall Park, which features age appropriate events including crafts, games, music, sensory activities, dramatic play and a special Friday event each week.
Ranger and Explorer day camps are offered for children ages 5-8 and 9-12, respectively. These programs are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, with extended care available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at no additional cost. In addition to daily fun-filled activities and swimming, Ranger and Explorer campers participate in weekly fieldtrips to a variety of locations throughout Southern California.
Voyager Camp is offered for youth ages 12-15, and provides young teens with the opportunity to visit local hot spots each day, as well as participate in one overnight camping trip.
The deadline to enroll is by 5 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the week the program begins and will be based on availability. Walk-in registration is available at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex, located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway.
