- The City of Santa Clarita’s Aquatic Center be one of the locations for the upcoming 2010 Speedo Championship Series.
Canyons Aquatic Club of Santa Clarita and the City of Santa Clarita, will be hosting the upcoming Speedo Championship Series, California/Nevada Section Championship from Wednesday, July 21, through Sunday, July 26. The event wil take place at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center (SCAC) as well as Castaic Lake.
The elite swim meet will feature the best high school and collegiate swimmers from most of California and Nevada. Sponsored by USA Swimming and Speedo, swimmers will hit the waters at Santa Clarita Aquatic Center at 9:00 a.m. daily for preliminary competition with the fastest 24 swimmers in each event returning at 5:00 p.m. to compete in finals.
Each night will feature anywhere from four to six finals and relay events. This is the first meet of this caliber to be hosted by either Canyons or the City of Santa Clarita.
