From Monday, June 15 to Sunday, June 28, State Route 14 and Golden Valley Road Bridge will be subject to night closures to accommodate the Golden Valley Bridge Widening project.
During the bridge widening construction, the northbound State Route 14 will be closed from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., and the southbound State Route 14 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. from June 15 to June 28. Golden Valley Road Bridge will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 15 to June 28.
Detours of these closed areas will utilize the respective State Route 14 off-ramps and on-ramps in each direction. Motorists who travel during the early hours through this area are advised to plan on slightly heavier traffic.
The Golden Valley Bridge Widening project will add an additional two lanes of travel, one in each direction, for a total of four through lanes on the bridge as well as a dedicated left turn lane to access the southbound State Route 14 and two left turn lanes to access the northbound State Route 14. The project will also add a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the bridge and a bike path on the south side of the bridge.
