Last night, the City of Santa Clarita hosted Teen Scene Plugged-In at the College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center. This program informed parents about today’s teen culture and gave them tools to connect and understand their teen’s daily life and issues.

Anti-drug organizations from around the City including A Light of Hope and ACTION provided helpful information to parents about the social and academic pressures teens face everyday at the resource fair.

Councilmember Frank Ferry spoke about personal experiences as being the principle of Alemany High School and the teen issues he comes across.

Kathy Hunter, Director of Student Services at William S. Hart Union High School District, spoke aabout “toxic” parenting issues and pressures faced by teens.
