The City of Santa Clarita is inviting community members and groups to a second public meeting to share their ideas and suggestions on the master plan for the 60-acre Rivendale Park and Open Space on Wednesday, May 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

The first public meeting on master planning for Rivendale was held this past March, and based on the first round of input, draft conceptual plan alternatives have been developed by RRM Design Group.

The plans were developed using input from many sources including input from a March public workshop, site visits, focus group meetings in March and April, and public comments received via mail, email and phone.

In March 2012, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission supported the development of a master plan for Rivendale with an emphasis on cultural or historic usage and public theatre.

The City acquired the 60-acre Rivendale property in 1995 and the site is comprised of three parcels that were annexed into the City in 2003.
For more information on the Rivendale Park community workshop, visit HikeSantaClarita.com or contact (661) 286-4129.
