On Thursday, September 21st, The City of Santa Clarita and County of Los Angeles presented checks in the amount of $350,000 to Habitat for Humanity in showing their support for the housing for CalVet families.

The beginning of the check precipitation started off with a flag salute by State Senator: Scott Wilk. Shortly after, Supervisor Kathryn Barger was presented a plaque in recognition in support for veterans. Another plaque was presented to Mayor Pro Tem, Laurene Weste of Santa Clarita.
After the speakers, The County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors presented ‘Homes 4 Families’ a check in the amount of $350,000. A generous donation that would help build the remaining homes on the property. Council-members Bill Miranda, Bob Kellar, Marsha McLean and Mayor Pro Tem Weste also presented an another check for $350,000.
