Filmmakers of all skillsets are invited to attend a free New Heights: No Budget Films Workshop on Wednesday, March 2 and Wednesday, March 9 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Century Room at Santa Clarita City Hall.
The panel discussion will serve as a resource for those who have always talked about becoming a filmmaker and are ready to become one. This unique two day workshop will provide attendees with valuable insight into filmmaking. This series is designed to help the no-budget filmmaker, whether he or she is working with a budget of just $2,000 or more. The lessons, tools and techniques from these sessions are intended to maximize very limited resources and minimize critical errors that can destruct worthy projects.
The workshop will be led by Mark Stolaroff, who will share his filmmaking experience and provide attendees with insight and tools to create no to low budget films.
Mark Stolaroff is an award-winning producer and co-founder of Antic Pictures, an LA-based production company that produces a slate of low-budget, high-quality digital features. Stolaroff has extensive production experience with serval low-budget features and shorts, including production on the Academy Award winning short film, “My Mother Dreams the Satan’s Disciples in New York.”
