The 2015 Walk of Remembrance and Evening of Remembrance was cancelled earlier this month, due to weather concerns, but has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
Residents are invited to attend the Walk of Remembrance to promote safe driving and show support for families who lost loved ones in traffic-related incidents. The community walk will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14 to be followed by the tenth anniversary of the City’s annual Youth Grove Evening of Remembrance at Central Park.
Each year, the City of Santa Clarita and the Blue Ribbon Task Force host the Evening of Remembrance to help local families honor youth ages 24 and younger who lost their lives in traffic-related incidents. For more information on the Youth Grove and the inaugural Walk of Remembrance, contact the City’s Community Services Division at (661) 250-3727 or visit Santa-Clarita.com/BlueRibbon.
