The City invites local residents to attend the Walk of Remembrance to promote safe driving and show support for families who lost loved ones in traffic-related incidents. The community walk will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, prior to the tenth anniversary of the City’s annual Youth Grove Evening of Remembrance at Central Park. Both events will be held at the Youth Grove in Central Park.
The City of Santa Clarita’s half-acre Youth Grove memorial is dedicated to educating the community about safe driving and offers a place for reflection. Each year, the City of Santa Clarita and the Blue Ribbon Task Force host the Evening of Remembrance to help local families honor youth ages 24 and younger who lost their lives in traffic-related incidents.
