In late May, the City of Santa Clarita completed construction on the cross walks and sidewalk ramps on Newhall Avenue at the intersections of Lyons Avenue, 8th Street and 9th Street in Newhall.

Pedestrian ramps were installed in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and modifications were made to the existing curbs to improve visibility between pedestrians and motorists and create a traffic-calming effect to reduce vehicle speeds through the intersections.
