Santa Clarita residents can stay active this fall with several free and low-cost offerings at the Canyon Country Community Center. Registration is now open for a variety of programs, including a new circuit training fitness class and the return of a popular swing dance event.
Local adults 40 and older can wear their best dapper duds and dancing shoes for an evening at the Big Band Dance on Tuesday, September 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Canyon Country Community Center. Attendees will be able to jump and jive while listening to the music of the big band era. Admission is free with membership to the Canyon Country Community Center.
Registration is also available for the Canyon Country Community Center’s new SMART ProTrainer Circuit class for adults. On Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. through October 30, attendees of all fitness levels will burn calories with strength training, explosive plyometric moves and speed training incorporating the Community Center’s SMART ProTrainer interactive fitness wall. The SMART ProTrainer Circuit is available at $5 per class.
