The City of Santa Clarita is now offering Fall Childhood Development Classes through the City’s Seasons Magazine. These classes include My Buddy and Me and Terrific Tots, which begin the week of September 9 and last for 14 weeks and Primetime Preschool begins the week of August 26 and lasts for 12 weeks. These classes are designed to help prepare community kids for preschool and kindergarten.
These Fall Early Childhood Classes include:
- My Buddy and Me – This exciting parent participation class offers quality play time together for parents and their children. Includes free play, stories, crafts, songs and motor development activities. The class, available for kids 2-3 years of age, is held one day per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or Fridays from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- Terrific Tots – This program will provide children with the opportunity to develop social and classroom skills while making new friends. The curriculum involves play, arts and crafts, music and stories. Classes are held for two hours, twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday or once a week on Saturday.
- Primetime Preschool – This is a Pre-K Program designed to help provide children with opportunities for social/emotional growth, cognitive learning experiences, and creative expression. This program, offered to children who will turn 4 years of age by October 1, is held two to three times weekly on Tuesday and Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Terrific Tots and My Buddy and Me classes are offered at Santa Clarita Park, Canyon Country Park and Valencia Glen Park. Primetime Preschool classes are offered at Santa Clarita Park, Valencia Meadows Park and North Oaks Park.
