On July 11, Youth Employment Services (YES) staff held a mandatory workshop for 34 teens in the summer program. Teens were instructed to prepare a 30 second elevator speech and speak to the group about their job experience.
The teens received a written evaluation from their site supervisor on based on performance, attendance and attitude. Site supervisors were encouraged to acknowledge the teen’s strengths as well as areas that need improvement.
Staff addressed common issues and gave valuable feedback teaching the youth workers corrective measures they can take now to make improvements before the program ends on August 2.
