Honda Performance Development (HPD), one of Santa Clarita’s most innovative companies, made history yesterday at IndyCar’s Sunday showdown at Pocono Raceway taking first, second and third place for HPD’s 200th win.
The City of Santa Clarita recently spotlighted the company’s headquarters in Santa Clarita featuring an interview with Senior Manager/Chief Engineer for HPD’s Production and Commercial Division, Marc Sours, in the City’s newly-released Business Minute about what makes HPD so unique.

Specializing in design and development of race engines, HPD is Honda’s North American racing company and a household name in IndyCar. HPD opened its headquarters in Santa Clarita because the city offered unmatched quality of life for employees, a strong business community, and close proximity to Los Angeles.
HPD and more than 6,000 other companies have chosen Santa Clarita as their home. In just a few hours the HPD team head to in Toronto to compete. We send our best from Santa Clarita for another HPD checkered flag finish and will be following HPD’s progress on Facebook and Twitter. We hope you’ll be watching as well.
