The City of Santa Clarita and its partners held the Heroin Kills: One Year Later event at the Santa Clarita Activities Center yesterday, August 29, to update residents on the continuing problem of heroin and other drugs in Santa Clarita. The standing-room-only crowd was estimated to have over 400 attendees.

A resource fair highlighted local non-profits and organizations with information about getting help with drug and alcohol addiction in Santa Clarita.

Mayor Frank Ferry spoke at the event about the importance of over coming drug addiction.
