J.A.M. Session Brings Pacific Island Culture to Main Street

J.A.M. Sessions will bring the interactive dance and song of the Pacific Island to Main Street today from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. This FREE event will be in conjunction with the Farmers Market, which will go from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Tui Letuli and members of the Pacific Talent Academy bring to life the Pacific island culture through song and dance. At the interactive performance, discover storytelling through the gestures of Hawaiian hula, become one with the beat of Tahitian drums or learn the art of the Samoan Fire Knife Dance with practice sticks.

Check out a clip of last week’s J.A.M. Session’s drum circle with Chris Ramirez of Freedom Drum Circles.
