The City of Santa Clarita, in partnership with Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc., is offering free, recycling containers for local businesses to encourage waste reduction efforts and increase recycling efforts.
Beginning Sunday, July 1, Assembly Bill 341 will require all California businesses that produce more than 4-cubic-yards of commercial solid waste to establish and maintain recycling services. Offering free containers is a way to help local businesses comply with the new state law.
Local businesses are encouraged to get their recycling containers before the July 1st deadline by contacting the Burrtec Waste Industries Inc., Costumer Service Department at (661) 222-2249. For more information about being green in Santa Clarita, visit GreenSantaClarita.com.
