The Santa Clarita City Council invites the public to the Transit Maintanence Facility for the Solar Canopy Dedication event which will be held Today at 11:30 a.m.
The event will include remarks from Senator Boxer about the potential for job creation in California through investments in clean energy and transportation infrastructure.
These new additions, when combined with the Transit Maintenance Facility’s existing solar panel canopy, will generate 97% of all electricity needed to power the facility. As a result, the City will save approximately $135,000 a year in electricity bills.
For more information or to RSVP for the dedication event, please call the City at 661.255.4939. The City of Santa Clarita Transit Maintenance Facility is located at 28250 Constellation Road.
