On Friday, May 6, NOMAD participants showed off their talents at the third annual Valle Del Oro Community Festival! This program gives participants an opportunity to share their personal stories of struggles, and their hopes and dreams for themselves and their community.
For the past 12-weeks, twenty-one NOMAD youth and thirteen volunteers have been preparing and planning for the Festival. NOMAD youth created artwork, short stories, music, and made desserts and food dishes taught in the cooking classes. Over 100 people attended the festival which included food, and live music by CalArts students
