The City of Santa Clarita is encouraging residents to apply for an open position on the Arts Commission. The Arts Commission is made up of five members interested in the arts for the community within the community. The Commission advises the City Council and City staff on matters of the arts including public art, art programs, and art events throughout the community.
The term of office on the Arts Commission, which had previously been filled by Sandra Fisher, expires on July 31, 2014. The deadline for submitting an application to the City Clerk’s office, located at 23920 Valencia Blvd., Suite 304, is Friday, April 29 at 5:00 p.m. All applicants must also submit three letters of recommendation with their application. Applicants must be 18 years or older and must maintain their principal residence in the City of Santa Clarita during their term of office. Evening availability is also required.
