“Look Who’s Speeding” Campaign Looks At Local Drivers To Be Aware For Holiday Season
November 24, 2010One of the top traffic complaints expressed by Santa Clarita residents is neighborhood speeding, especially during this Holiday season. In an effort to remind drivers that speeding is both unlawful and unsafe, the City and the Sheriff’s Department have re-launched their “Look Who’s Speeding Through your Neighborhood” awareness campaign. “Look Who’s Speeding Through Your Neighborhood” bus shelters, showing a mirror and a reminder to slow down, have been posted at several bus shelters City wide. The posters will serve as a visual reminder to passing motorists to slow down for the Holidays.
The Sheriff’s studied patterns of vehicles traveling at unsafe speeds through neighborhoods and their results showed the majority of incidents coming from residents who lived in the very same neighborhoods. So be careful and be safe this Holiday season, and remember to drive safely around your neighborhoods.
