Next time you attend a City Council meeting or drop by the Sports Complex for a game of raquet ball consider bringing along some food for donation. The City of Santa Clarita is sponsoring its third annual Food Drive, benefitting the SCV Food Pantry. During the entire month of September, Santa Clarita residents are invited to drop off non-perishable food items to designated locations across the City to be donated directly to the SCV Food Pantry.
Collection bins for non-perishable food donations will be set up at five City facilities:
- City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard
- Sports Complex, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway
- Transit Maintenance Facility, located at 28250 Constellation Road
- Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road
- Corporate Yard, located at 25663 Avenue Stanford.
Non-perishable items may also be directly donated to the SCV Food Pantry, located at 24133 Railroad Avenue. Donations will be accepted during business hours of 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday through Thursday and on the third Friday of every month.
