For many festival-goers the food is far and away the best part of the day while attending the Cowboy Festival . The food has been written about, talked about and is a big reason many people keep coming back. The Festival hosts standard fare such as kettle corn, but it’s the traditional “cowboy grub” that steals the show.
The Cowboy Cultural Committee’s good-old-fashioned Dutch Oven cooking is a festival standard.
The beans are unbelievable. There’s something about cooking the “cowboy way” that sticks to your ribs and puts a smile on your face.
What’s cowboy grub without cowboy coffee? The coffee is good stuff. Cowboys even make brewing coffee cool…
But the one thing that you’ll hear about from anyone who has ever been to the City of Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival; the thing that is discussed as much as anything else and why many would argue the food is the number one reason to go to the festival is…
…the peach cobbler. It’s out-of-this-world fantastic and well worth the trip.
