S.C.O.R.E. stands for "Supporting Children's Opportunities in Recreational Events"
The City of Santa Clarita’s S.C.O.R.E. program provides more than 100 annual scholarships to local underprivileged youth, allowing kids to enjoy the City’s many parks, recreational classes, and sports leagues. Recreation programs prepare youth for everyday life by teaching responsibility, teamwork, and leadership and reduce the chance of involvement in socially unacceptable behavior.
Youth sports are a big part of young lives
To benefit this cause, fabulous gift arrangements are being raffled off with all donations going to the S.C.O.R.E. program. The arrangements were made possible by the generous donations of our supportive local businesses and are valued at $350 each. The baskets and raffle tickets are currently displayed at City Hall, the Sports Complex Aquatics Center, and the Activities Center. Please join the City Council and City staff in supporting this worth cause. Stop by to view a basket and purchase your raffle tickets.
