Oak trees are an integral part of Santa Clarita's landscape and history.
In honor of Oaktober, the City will hold a workshop focusing on proper care for oak trees this Wednesday, October 21 at the Sports Complex. The workshop, intended to show residents with oak trees on their property how to properly care for their oaks, will also feature information regarding the City’s oak tree permit process, as well as fire and brush clearance regulations required by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The Workshop will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Seating is limited, so residents nterested in attending should call the City’s Urban Forestry division at (661) 294-2500 to RSVP and secure one of the 60 available spots.
