Youth Summit 2009 will be held at the City's Sports Complex Activities Center.
More than 350 Santa Clarita youth from seven local schools are set to attend the City’s Youth Summit 2009 tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the City’s Sports Complex Activities Center. This year’s event, which features the theme “Respecting Ourselves and Respecting Each Other,” will include interactive activities and informative presentations about teen issues.
The City's 2008 Teen Summit was also widely attended by local youth.
Teen Summit 2009 will also provide local youth with a forum to establish mutual support for themselves and the community. The event is designed to help community kids build self esteem and develop important leadership skills to encourage positive contributions to local schools and the community.
