The “tune-up” refers to having a licensed contractor visit a home and audit it for energy conservation measures. With a grant, the contractor is able to make small changes to increase energy efficiency and give the homeowner a full list of steps to take to reduce energy costs and lower the carbon footprint of the dwelling.

Interested residents should contact the City if they are interested in receiving additional tune ups before funding runs out.

Sierra Highway and Newhall Avenue will see improvements in the upcoming months

On Monday October 10, the city’s project to improve traffic circulation and safety on Newhall Avenue at Sierra Highway begins. The project will remove existing roadway dividers and construct a landscaped median on Newhall Avenue. The project is anticipated to improve overall traffic circulation at the intersection by shifting the lanes northerly to allow room for eastbound buses to stop without impeding traffic flow.
