What do you get when you combine a mix of some of the music industry’s top session and touring musicians on one stage at Central Park? You get an unforgettable night of music with the SCV All Stars at Concerts in the ParksThe SCV Allstars, produced by Pramik Entertainment, is made up of 11 of Santa Clarita’s busiest professional musicians.  These talented musicians from our own backyard have been seen on stage worldwide, in movies and television, on tour with major artists, and heard in countless recordings and commercials.

Concerts in the Parks is a free event held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Central Park.  The show will consist of music by: Earth, Wind & Fire, Lionel Richie, Tower of Power, James Brown and Mariah Carey.

Adding to this year’s event is Bristol Farms who will be on-site selling food from their “Extraordinary Food Store.” For those new to this free event, there’s also a helpful FAQ with tips and guidlines for attendees.

The latest edition of Public Management (PM) Magazine  features the City of Santa Clarita’s 21-Point Business Plan for Recovery in it’s cover article. The City of Santa Clarita’s proactive approach to combating the current economic downturn head-on has gained interest from many municipalities and even drew attention from the White House, when City officials traveled to Washington on a recent visit. In addition to the article, an interview with City Manager Ken Pulskamp is posted to the web version of the magazine.
