The City’s popular, and free, Concerts in the Park series will kick off July 11 with Classic Rock and Dance band, the Skinny Little Twits. The entire line-up can be seen at the Concerts in the Park website. The concert series is located at Central Park and between July 11 and August 29 a different band will perform each Saturday at 7 p.m.
Concerts in the Parks is one of the most popular events the City puts on, drawing approximately 40,000 spectators through the course of the series or about 5,000 per concert. Residents are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a good spot.
This year, perennial favorites, Boogie Nights returns to the series. This year’s lineup should include something for everyone. The variety ranges from Classic Rock to neo-zydeco, Country, Reggae and many things in-betweeen. Adding to this year’s event is Bristol Farms who will be on-site selling food from their “Extraordinary Food Store” and displays by Racer’s Edge, California’s largest indoor Karting facility.
For newbies to the event there’s also a helpful FAQ with tips and guidlines for attendees.
