Since the City incorporated in 1987 over 30 miles of off-street trails have been built. This combined with another 30 miles of neighborhood trails including the paseo system in Valencia gives Santa Clarita residents a lot of options for getting around town “sans car.” Here are a few random trails.
The Calla Trail currently deadends at a piece of property owned by the City that will one day be turned into “Discovery Park.” Discovery Park is along the river and much of the property is meant to remain in it’s natural state with hiking trails and benches.
This trail heads east/west underneath the Whites Canyon Bridge along the Santa Clara River about 200 feet from Soledad Canyon in Canyon Country.
Not all trails are just for people.
Before you get a trail, you get a trail rendering.
Sand Canyon Before…
Sand Canyon after, with the equestrian trail in place.
This is the end of the trail in Canyon Country and the end of this post. Happy trails! (Note, while the trail ends at Lost Canyon in Canyon Country currently, it will be exapnded in the future.)
