Friday March 27 the Santa Clarita City Council opened the new Skatepark to an enormous crowd. The highly anticipated park was filled to capacity with thousands of skaters vying for an open section of concrete to grind, shred or otherwise occupy.
Local skaters came out in droves for the new park.
The grand opening drew a big response from the media including extreme sports television station Fuel TV.
Beyond the construction, the anticipation and the crowds it all came down to one thing, skating.
